Even after refurb their still giving probs, copey are 859/7628 still lurking at the bk of the yard or gone for scrap. Is our trainer stil with us 8xxx??? Not seen this in months so clueless to where its got to.

Those Gemini`s are technical dog`s breakfasts hence Arriva`s switch to the Enviro400

Do Speke or Bolton suffer the same problems with their Geminis? Or is it just Winsford?

Wrong, they switched to Enviro400s because the DB300/Gemini ended production.

No they switched because the 2011 batch were all full of faults, Wrights had them back one by one for upgrades

Boltons Hybrid Geminis did when they first arrived, the amount that went to Thomas Hardie within the first 12 Months was a joke

No, you are getting mixed up.
With the exception of the B5LHs in 2013, no standard deckers were ordered for operations outside of London until last year - by which time Wrightbus and VDL had announced the ceasing of construction of the DB300/Gemini and the SB200/Pulsar. Hence the order for Enviro400s. If the Geminis had been so riddled with faults, why did Arriva keep purchasing them for London?

True true, just our batch of 4489/90/91 have given us numerous probs/faults & their only 4yrs old! Its a joke we shouldve had the enviro 400s like stagecoach use on the #192 route.

They're of a much higher build quality & also seem to perform better too I.E can accelerate quicker etc.

The ex soulthport volvo B7s by comparison are a charm, plenty of drivers I've chatted to personally like em. Yh they all need engine repairs but as copey's mentioned previous they're at that stage in life now where its inevitable after the miles they've already racked up.

2427 and 2447 are now here until withdrawal.

With 0864 staying at Wrexham im guessing these are what replaced 0661 and 0662 which recently moved to Wrexham.

Can anyone (Copey ?) confirm that Winsford used a sapphire dekker on the 84 yesterday or have any of the other dekkers been fitted with rear LED destinations ? Reason I ask is that as I was heading past the Barony playing fields into Nantwich yesterday afternoon I saw a dekker turning right at the traffic lights towards Crewe and it had a full rear destination panel, it showed 84 & a destination but I was too far away to read what it said, the paintwork also looked darker than normal too.
