Firth of Forth bridge name announced
Alex Salmond will announce later this morning the name that has been chosen for the new bridge over the Firth of Forth .

Around 35000 votes have been cast , with approximately 7000 different names suggested.

Some of the more popular names are :
Caledonia Bridge
Queensferry Crossing
St Margarets Crossing

The other two slightly less popular names were :
Firth Of Forth Crossing
Saltaire Crossing

The bridge is expected to open to the public in 2016
