St. Helens bus station
Stand nos. 1-3 in St. Helens Bus tation have been closed from 10 March 2025 - the first stage of the rebuilding process. Services (mostly Arriva) formerly using stands 1-3 are mostly using an alternative stop in Bickerstaffe Street, just outside the bus station.

The remainder of the bus station is expected to close soon, pending replacement by a new bus station. In the interim, most services are due to transfer to a temporary terminal in Chalon Way.

Does anyone have an idea when the temporary bus station is to open?

No. The Merseytravel staff I was talking to had no idea, but I think it may be within the next few weeks.

RE: St. Helens bus station
Old post deleted as I've found new info.

Arriva had registered for St Helens routes to move on the 6th April but withdrew the application, it now seems that they have registered for the changes to happen on the 13th April (which matches the general service change date with changes to other routes).

Not sure whether Arriva registered the change for the wrong date, or Merseytravel/St Helens Council (delete as appropriate) were hoping to move stuff on the 6th but it got delayed by a week so that all service changes happened on the same date, rather than St Helens changing on the 6th and then changing all other areas a week later.
