Any 100% confirmation which depot these be going to and for what use..there rumours there getting split between chester and birkenhead for X8 and 2 but I dont think there be enough for that and plus someone asked on twitter and they said it wont be deckers on X8 and 2 even know it said there be bigger buses on the email service

I did ask at my depot (Birkenhead) but they knew nothing so doubt there coming to Birkenhead

IIRC the PVR for the X8 is 6. Including a spare for that it would leave 8 for the 2 (don't know the PVR for the 2) - so you may be right

I wouldn't be surprised if they were used at Gillmoss and 15 Enviro300s were loaned to Chester and Rock Ferry. Time will tell though

That wouldn't make any sense as what you are proposing would be using similar capacity vehicles and/or duplicate running which would cost much more than having a double decker operated service

It states on the Stagecoach MCSL Twitter page (under Tweets and Replies) that extra capacity will be sent out on the 2 and X6 as and when and they won't be double deckers

I don't see where the additional vehicles to provide the extra capacity would come from if they aren't double deckers

Scania Solars have more seats than the Enviro300s on the 2 its possible we could be using those but who honestly knows

Considering the chaos on the Wirral line that is likely to occur, an extra two seats won't make much difference. I foresee a situation where serious duplication of services will be needed and allowed under some obscure emergency legislation. I'm glad my thirty-odd years of commuting across the river is over.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but, regards the forthcoming rail closures, can anyone advise which lines are to be closed & the duration of the closure.
Sorry if this has been advised already but if so I have missed it.
Thanks Pete.
