Managed to grab a ride on three of the four Solo SR's out today, those being 711, 713 and 715. I am very impressed, they are really nice and quiet, comfortable ride and no rattles. My only criticism would be they seem to have slightly squeaky breaks but it does not affect the ride quality at all. I am certainly looking forward to having a ride on the rest.

Yes it's the Merc engine in them but unlike other Solos and Versas I've been on, the vibrations are simply not evident. Interior looks like this:

No less than 3 Cadets on the 352/395 today with 2490 and 2491 being allocated all day. The third, 2496, was a substitution brought up by a fitter to replace 2693 after the latter's dashboard lit up with engine management warning lights and it began to stall when coming to a stop en-route to St Helens.

With Solo's they need to have good roads to travel on otherwise the rattles will start to appear as the suspension starts to loosen up .
