RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Macc ain't having a good week thus far, 2 centros covering on the 38. Apparently 4491 went to winsford for repairs & now they've nicked it. 4490 hasn't been seen anywhere so presume it's off the road . |

Also on the bolton thread, plaxton president 4185 which is currently on loan to wythenshawe is apparently headed to winsford once it's loan period ends. |

Noticed that today and at least one day last week one of the 38's Gem 2s were run out to Chester all day... had also seen a ALX400 being towed back on Tuesday and 711 being rescued from Crewe today... |

I had wondered how different the Sapphire interior would be to MAX for the Geminis, but from what you say, probably not much. As I have never done the middle section on route 130, from Cheadle to Wilmslow, I intend to later this month. I shall combine it with D&G route 88. Bang goes my idea for a Sapphire 130 - 38 connection at Macclesfield! |

Thought 4185 was at Winsford already? I've seen it in Nantwich a few times on the 84. Also, as well as the Pulsars 2949-2951 I've seen a cadet around recently, I think it's 2550. |

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Yh winsford have a habit of nicking buses from macc. 4491 went for repairs & imagine 4490 would've done too. Macc only have a small workshop so bigger jobs have to be done at winsford. Kinda a mick take really considering wks Ford don't actually need sapphire vehicles. But the centros have managed fine on the 38 & haven't broke down yet. Wouldn't mind em if they'd had the interior refresh but so far just 2611 has been treated. Yh 2550 is here which is an odd 1 considering the cafeteria months ago, we usually get pulsars coming in. |

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Yesterday's (Thursday) allocation to 38 was the following: 1X Pulsar (2643) 1X Centro 1X Sapphire Gemini It seems from what I saw and was told from another friend of mine that Macclesfield have only got one 1 serviceable Sapphire Gemini at the moment, the Pulsar was on 16:43 Crewe-Macclesfield service and fnished when it got to Macclesfield and the replacement vehicle on 18:20 Macclesfield-Crewe was one of Macclesfields Solo SRs. |

That's usually the way atm. Solos work after 6 due to it being a fair bit quieter, 2643 has performed faultlessly & the centros are managing alright too just a bugger the heaters don't seem to work or drivers aren't putting them on! Also did hear last week that 1 of the macc geminis 4491 was working an 84 chester duty after they'd repaired it. |

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Amazed to see Dart 908 in Crewe today on the 6 local to Leighton Hospital. I saw this on Saturday last 12th on the 67 Bethesda/78 Maesyg circuit along with 915 and several 68x /696/697 Solos. It seems strange to me that the labour and fuel cost of effecting this move can be justified at such short notice. 2550 and 2949 were on the 31 and Pulsars on the 84 shorts and the 38. Not a Centro to be seen! |
