MM - that's quality news to hear the centro refurb has started finally, they've been looking beyond knackered for a while now. Just a pity they can't do nowt to improve the reliability of em, in northwich today & took a driver 4 attempts to get one started!

Starter motor issues seem to plague the whole batch. When they used to be on the 84 consistently they would end up behind time due to it taking more than 5 minutes to warm them up and get them going.

Sometimes the cadets have a problem starting but that's due to the fuel injectors requiring attention as they sometimes take 4 or 5 attempts to get started especially some of the runcorn ones as they just turn over then stop and you have to keep doing it till it starts.

Seems a common fault with most VDL buses tbh, the starters are a pain in the arse getting going can take 4/5 cranks sometimes.

Occasionally the drivers start them from the back with a switch in the engine bay somewhere.

Copey - Now GHA are dead, it's been said the evening 38s are being returned to arriva again.

What's the timetable for these & will it be macc or winsford that run it?

On holiday at the moment but apparently Winsford are going to run them on existing timetable from next Monday. Presume no service until then.
Also sharing the 82's with Chester.

Cheers didn't know about the 82, far as I knew was just chester running it. Not heard nowt on whether the evening 38s are running atm.

Winsford will be running the evening GHA 38 services, and a timetable (shouldn't have changed from normal timetable)

Centro 2614 at Macclesfield today running the 10 to Bollington.

We've had centros on & off for a few weeks now while solos are off for maintenance/repair etc. Also which centros have had the interior refresh? I know 2611 has been done already.
