319 shortage also compounded by 319366 failing so 0730 Preston to Lime St is cancelled

319369 also failed at Newton-Le-Willows also assisted in by 319377 so 0816 Lime St-Man Air and 0820 Lime St-Man Vic and returns cancelled

This is getting beyond a joke now! Northern really need to start looking at contingency plans. Perhaps more 319's or even another type of surplus EMU to cover the shortfall. Even still then there isn't really anything. The only thing coming up soon is 313's and some 317's but surely they're destined for the scrap yard!

Lime St-Man Air 3 hourly from 1016 and returns 3 hourly from 1140 ex Man Air-Lime St cancelled and now 2 DMUs running around vice the 319 failures.

It hasnt taken very long in the franchise for a line in the sand to have already been reached when it comes to these class 319's .

These diesels there using on some of the jobs have probably come from other areas that could also do with them as well , there wont be much spare capacity at all now .

Peak time extra between Stockport and Chester cancelled due to no diesel unit available and multiple Marple services are being operated by 2 carriages instead of 4. Northern haven't fixed any of their 319s yet as the 17:40 Airport-Liverpool has been cancelled.
