Yesterday Gemini 61plate route 84 heading to A51 Chester just after 10.30am, while I'm on the way to Northwich, I just missed full reg but I caught it was 61 plate. Seem not many passengers on board.

The gemini that's at st helens will be 4490 then, seems strange it needing bodywork repairs unless it's been in a shunt.

MM you know how's 2616 getting along with its repairs? Been there a while now so probs nearly finished.

Also noticed 2616 is still missing so must still be at st helens being repaired. Regards the centros they'll look brill when their interior refurb eventually gets underway.

Hopefully they will apply the black paint around and above the windows again on the centro's.
They've never looked happy all aqua.

2642/3 CX07 CSZ/CTE both were noted working from Winsford depot on Saturday on route 84 Crewe - Chester. New transfers in or loans? One of the Centro 2617 CX56 CEV was also seen on full 84's so a lack of deckers in use.

Chris.

Wasn't one of these reported at Wythenshawe recently?

Both where in use on the 84 again today with centros making up the remaining allocation. I clocked 3 Geminis being used on the 37 also which I thought bizarre.

Anyone know if 4490s returned yet? Wasn't here a week or so bk as macc still had 4102 on loan.

Strangely enough the drivers at macc I know actually prefer 4102 over the gemini!

Appears 4490 must be in a pretty bad way, as we've still got a bus on loan from winsford.

This wk it's centro 2611, which as long as it plays ball & doesn't throw up the usual tempremental centro faults should be fine. Anybody actually know is 4490 just having a tidy up of the bodywork or was it involved in a shunt?

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
re the decker situation at Winsford surprised they never made a request to get hold of the late model VLA's, WLW's and DW's from Arriva London. These would have been better stop gaps until further new deckers came into Arriva NW that could cascade older ones to Winsford in fact they'd be useful for other ANW garages (Bootle/GL/LS/SH/Speke) too. Suppose selling them in Ensign makes Arriva more money in the end.
