Interestingly despite being registered by Prestonbus I've heard that it will indeed be Atherton Depot (Diamondbus Northwest) that will be operating the Ormskirk local services as I believe some of their drivers have been having route training on the route the past week

Ergo, it is on the wrong resgistration. Unless Preston Bus are going to put an outstation on their license or they have stipulated on the registration that Diamond will run at least some of the services.

I can't understand then why they haven't registered them on the Diamond Bus licence as they now share the same Preston address on the registrations.

Coincidentally, both could apply in the case of the 177. MCT run TFGM tendered services 177/178 until this Saturday. From Sunday, the 177 is withdrawn from the revised tender, just leaving the 178 (Reddish-Timperley). Arriva have won the revised tender, so have registered it as 178. MCT should cancel both 177/178, as most of the route between Wythenshawe and Timperley is common - albeit 177 only runs/ran evenings, whilst 178 runs throughout the day.

Many thanks for your reply. I was just a little confused after looking at the Chester and West Cheshire site when I think there were three services withdrawn from April. Two stated that the registrations were cancelled and the services withdrawn but the No. 45 GHA service to Warrington from Northwich simply stated that the service was to be withdrawn. Anyway, once again thanks for taking the time and trouble to come back in respect of this matter.
