Douglas Bay Horse Tramway
Douglas Bay Horse Tramway
It was announced today that after 139 years of operation the historic Douglas Bay Horse Tramway has officially closed and it will not be running again this year or in future years. The last horse trams operated in September last year. More information can be found here

It's a shame in my opinion. I don't think the Isle of Man will be the same without them

It has been announced that the Douglas Horse Tramway will operate in 2016 after all. It has been taken over by the Department of Infrastructure but the operation is for 2016 only whilst interested parties can review its future.
It will be open from 30 April il the end of October.

The Isle of Man Government has approved the operation of the horse tramway for another two seasons (2017 and 2018). Excellent news
