The A2B ones are what I still think of as "MPD-sized", which I believe is now 8.9m (used to be 8.8m).

RE: Avon Buses
I wonder if any new buses (apart from the 2 Enviros) are due from Avon with the 18, 93 & 204 being extended to Liverpool City Centre ...also for the 57 being introduced as well

Ex-Helms Dart MPD KN52 NFE has been acquired by Avon.

RE: Avon Buses
After 15 months of the 122 chasing Arriva's 63 the penny has dropped and Avon has advanced its service by 5 minutes. Why not help the travelling public and advance it by 15 minutes? At the moment there are three services that run between Aintree and Netherton on a 30 minute frequency, all within two minutes of each other.

RE: Avon Buses
The next change will be for the arriva 63 to be retimed next time round and we are back to square one again , the reason that Arriva will probably is that they will be keeping there share of the market .

RE: Avon Buses
You could argue, why should it be down to Avon to move their service by 15 mins, they've been on those times for years, it was Arriva who thought it'd be nice to have 2 buses in space of a few minutes.

That is true but the reality of the situation is the Avon is a small local independent operator whilst Arrive is a multinational organisation. Generally, bus wars between the big players are a thing of the past but that doesn't mean that profitable routes won't be targeted.

These days Avon have usually kept rather quiet when it comes to running over arriva or stagecoach's toes , so arriva will be watching this space to see if the timetable change has an effect on there bottom line .

RE: Avon Buses
Dart Y213 BGB (213) has been written-off following quite a nasty shunt to the rear on the 122 in Liverpool the other day.

Also, ex-Helms Dart KN52 NFE (previously 110, now 152) made it out today on service 10/10A, with Avon decals and part of the Helms swoop removed.
