St helens have been awarded 5 school contracts as well as the 2 that st helens already operate.

708 prescot-rainhill high (am)
721 hope academy - wharf rd (pm)
783 moss bank -rainford high (am)
786 rainford high - st helens
745 carmel college -platt bridge

Thanks for the info. Are St Helens due extra vehicles for these contracts or using existing ones?

You would have thought that some older deckers will be moved here for the schoolwork, you wouldn't send an Enviro400 out on schools all of the time would you. Wouldn't surprise me if we see a few London stock converted and moved up to the NW.

Could possibly be DLP'S but il try find out for sure as some of the schools are single deck operated by the previous operators

Both the 783 & 786 were previously single deck operated. Some work for the Renowns perhaps?

I have never understood school services which are am only or pm only.
Can anyone explain?

Often separate contracts for am & pm journeys.

I dont know why but the contracts split for some strange reason but a lot of the time a different company will do the pm journeys to the am journeys.
