Design change from 2002 onwards - 17535 is numerically the first in Manchester to be like this, but 17561/7/75/78 are similar.

17006 involved in an accident on the 112 this afternoon with a crane arm smashing into the upper deck front window. Thankfully, no-one was upstairs at the time of the accident and the drivers & 3 passengers were unhurt.

I noticed Magicbus 145 listed on the service disruptions page, where does this go or is it a private school/university service?

Nice allocation by Hyde Road today saw 17038 out on 205/206s, it did the following journies:

15:05 206 Manchester-Gee Cross
16:15 206 Gee Cross-Manchester
17:25 205 Manchester-Dane Bank
18:00 205 Dane Bank-Piccadilly

Not sure what it would have done after this though

Very fortunate that no-one was hurt. It looks as though the rearward projection exceeded one metre, in which case I wonder if the driver had ensured that the projection was "clearly visible" in accordance with C&U Schedule 12, para 4.?

Did the bus hit the crane whilst the crane was not moving?

Yep. Apparently the crane was at traffic lights when the bus pulled up behind it.
