Thanks for that were they going straight to Yorkshire or via Jackson st first?

Well, the intention was for them to go straight to YT, although I'd be amazed if they both made it there without mishap!

I've just realised something. Ain't the new enviro 400s for the 375/385 the first new buses for that corridor in about 24 years? Not including the VDLs and Scania's considering they were bought for the 395. Unless the East Lancs Citybuses weren't actually bought for it meaning that it could actually be longer.

Yes the Volvo's bought by North Western were specifically for this route, a couple of Dennis Dominators too, think it was 1989 when Skem ran it with the old Wigan garage

A scruffy 2256 was working the 47 route today. Have to feel for the passengers expecting a Pulsar and ending up with that!

Just had the horrible pleasure of riding 2252 on 300 from Southport to Liverpool and now have a sore bottom.

It's been reported on the North West Bus Blog, that the new Enviro400's for the 375/85 could be due early next month. It can't come quick enough. The route is in desperate need of new reliable stock.
