RE: First Manchester
Expected means it still might change
RF will only ever have 7 confirmed by engineering manager that my friend knows and rest are going Manchester as RF don't need all of them as they have enough
R/S/T/V/X and Y registered scanias plus the 04/05 scanias it's possible after Olympics a few eclipses might be coming to replace some older scanias but it all depends on the status of RF with the sales and QBP etc at the time

RE: First Manchester
Was on 60395 Bolton to Wigan, god that service is hard going, and those buses look so tired now a days. Time to withdraw them. Also Just wondered, why was 30807 withdrawn, and the others from that batch sent to BY in actual fact they all seem like they need withdrawing, 30802/6.

Meanwhile it seems the BN darts are not as reliable as once upon a time. 40359, and 40356 needed engineer assistance with 10 mins of each other. In saying that though the BY citaros are not in the best shape either, they or should i say 60228, 60271, 60282, and 60227 all have one thing in common it rains in on you.

Thats a shame, as last I heard it was having an engine and gear box change.

Mic do you have any idea what 60231s fault was orignally?

RE: First Manchester
First have now published their service changes on their website.

24 will continue hourly Mon-Sat daytime only between Rochdale and Manchester with Bacup journeys and Sunday service withdrawn. 182 re-routed via Nuthurst Road but unsure about 24.

92 will replace 138 and run evenings and all day Sundays (Sunday daytime not originally planned)

149 changes go ahead as planned: re-routed via Broughton and eve/Sun journeys terminates at Alt.

The new one is 88/89, which is reduced to every 15 mins between Shudehill, Cheetham Hill and NMGH, but continues to run every 10 mins from Piccadilly to NMGH via Whitemoss. Presumably, 5 min wait at NMGH for some journeys.

Also, some additonal journeys on 154 and 167 moves to Shudehill.

Also, summer services will start on services 8, 17, 18, 32, 33, 36, 37, 52, 53, 82, 83, 98, 100, 110, 135, 163, 180, 184, 409, 425, 471, 501, 510, 524, 540, 561/2, 575, 582, 598, 600, 625/6, 631/2, 658, X34 and X84, while 621/8 will run every 15 mins instead of every 10 mins

Kind of conflicting information really, I know i cant mention nameson this site, so i wont, except to say, one of The drivers said 60231 had been sat In Bury Depot for months without its bumper and one of its headlights missing. Where as an engineer from Bury Depot said its having a gearbox/engine change. Still I guess things change, I also thought fire victim. But the flickr picture in Bury Depot shows no sign, so maybe it was just mechanical failure/ failed mot who knowsSmile. It still seems that 60232 and 60265 look set to return to service. As flickr shows 60265 making good progress on a back end rebuild, I am aware that was a fire victim along of course with 60232 60246 and 60266. Apparantly 60281 is just out of use and awaiting repair, due to its front end accident, sometime ago.
