RE: First Manchester
33831-57 are officially for Rusholme it's not speculation, OM And BN have had enough new buses lately, yes OM and BN make first a lot of money but, half the buses at the other depots are almost un roadworthy. I mean what sort of logic business wise, is it to run the other vehicles down to nothing at other depots, who still have to put roadworthy buses in service. Official first allocation list shows the new batch of streetlites for Rusholme along with the Enviro400s 33831-57 |

RE: First Manchester
What will the Enviro400's operate at Rusholme? Don't the Streetlites operate commercial routes and the Tridents for school services? Unless the Streetlites are only temporary and perhaps are off to Queens Rd or another First division? |

Can someone clarify that it is the additional 63*** Streetlite's for Rusholme rather than the 47*** that are supposed to be going to Dukinfield. |

Don't forget Stagecoach lowering fares to Pendleton and back from the City! Thanks, Liam Moskwin. http://www.flickr.com/photos/transportandtreasures/ |

First have a mobile Advan out in Bolton today, promoting £4 (day?) tickets. Ironically spotted it behind a (near) fully loaded Stagecoach DD 125 and an empty First SD 519. Each of the inbound 125's seen today appear pretty busy - must be market day! |

RE: First Manchester
Streetlite 47466 (SN14DZM) was out in service yesterday afternoon on 350's looking very smart. According to a post on another forum it was missing its tax disc The Streetlites are apparently the First 'New' vehicles at Dukinfield since the PMT days in the 90's, it's just debatable as to whether replacing deckers with Midi's is progress |

Timetable for the extended 42 service can now be seen on the Traveline website. Another route that First have got competition on is the 472/474 against Rosso. First have now responded by increasing the frequency from every 10 mins to every 8/9 mins. |

RE: First Manchester
How much longer will first keep the citaros going folks? Just had 60283 on the 98 up to prestwich & must be said by god it's awful!!! Really rattles & bangs around over even the slightest bump, plus just after leaving shudehill the bells decided to pack up. Even the driver had said he'd filled out a fault sheet about bells not working etc etc but nothing had been done to address the issues, what's going on do the mechanics just simply ignore what faults drivers list??? That been said 60269, which has been given a full repaint into new first colours & given LED displays all round looks really smart plus the digital displays are a lot easier to read than the dot matrix ones. |
