Merseyrail
RE: Merseyrail
I seen 508122 at Sandhills this morning, looking very smart and tidy. But no front 'M' logos have yet been applied. The past Sunday engineering works between Aintree and Ormskirk on sunday's have included re-ballasting on the liverpool bound track between Ormskirk and Aughton Park and new rail and clips fitted between Maghull and Town Green on the ormskirk bound track. On Sunday, there are no trains between Southport and Sandhills all day, anyone know what track will be replaced, two freight trains are scheduled to go to Southport's wallside siding according to realtime trains.

RE: Merseyrail
Having seen the units out now , I did think that they would have done bigger rebrand than what they have done .

The bigger question that needs asking now is re-engineered trains or brand new trains in the coming years .

RE: Merseyrail
Services on the Northern line have met with delays after an earlier failed train at Liverpool Central.

Services have been so displaced that some services that are normally 6 cars look likely to be 3 cars tonight .

There appeared to be two unit in the process of re-livery inside Birkenhead North today, one seemingly complete and one just starting. I understand 508114 is one but does anyone know the other please?

jtd mentioned that 507017 was on the West Kirby 6 car diagram (that comes off the depot in the afternoon) - it could be that one, as I think only one vinyl is done at a time, although I'm open to correction

RE: Merseyrail
507017 was out and ready by the old train wash with 508134 when I passed. Saw a nearly complete unit (which I guess to be 508114) and a unit that was still being stripped (unknown) on the same road... I think that is what 507009 means and I don't know which unit that is.
