RE: Stagecoach Manchester
21239 has a single Stagecoach seat on it Dodgy
It's about time that the seat covers were replaced, looking quite shabby

The seat covers on most of the buses inherited from First tend to be in quite reasonable condition. The shabby ones are the really old original Stagecoach ones. Some of the 51 reg's in Wigan are a disgrace.

Thank you for confirming these as the routes for new E400Hs. Route 256 will bring them to south west Manchester/ Trafford for the first time on Mon-Sat daytime services. (Routes 23/23a see some in the evenings and Sundays). These fleet numbers suggest that Stagecoach have had no new E400Hs anywhere since route 192 was converted in February/ March.

I also notice that Stagecoach will be running some routes in their heartland on New Year's Day but no ex-Bluebird routes. This is despite Bluebird having often run some buses on New Year's Day.

Arriving in Manchester yesterday afternoon from Oldham Road, was surprised to see a Magic Bus also on Oldham Road heading into Manchester not on the 80 but on the 76. 17619 being the vehicle in question.

I'm thinking that probably has something to do with the football at the Etihad Stadium. With extra buses in use including Magic buses, some may have tripped on to other surrounding routes later.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
A 76 on Oldham Road and Magicbus one at that was probably due to the football at The Etihad Stadium as from what I saw on Saturday afternoon traffic round the Etihad Stadium was being managed by a private security firm and after full time all traffic lights in the surrounding area round the stadium were switched to red including the lights at Briscoe Lane/Alan Touring Way junction, so I'm guessing Stagecoach decided to divert some of the 76s to avoid the problems.

While I'm on about the football, it seems that from just before full-time Ashton New Road is now closed to all traffic to let the masses out safely with 216s being diverted via Alan Touring Way and Ashton Old Road, hopefully this works out better than going down Ashton New Road and getting stuck in all the Match Traffic and a journey having an extra hour or so added to the journey time

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
One of the new 256 hybrids wandered off to another route today. Couldn't see which vehicle it was, as it was a bit crowded with people and buses at Piccadilly Gardens but it was leaving on the 15.
