I have seen pix of the new Volvo B9TLs for route X43 on Flickr so hopefully they will be in service in the next 3 weeks or so. They are in a silver and black livery but have no Witch Way logos yet. Nice find. Been wondering what the new buses are going to be. Thought it would be B9s. Heard that they'll have Wi-Fi on board, which will no doubt appeal for the commuters between Nelson/Burnley/Rawtenstall and Manchester. |

New buses on the X43 launched today. 15 new buses will be introduced to the route at a cost of £3m. Transdev have launched a mobile app to coincide with the launch of the new buses, which will provide real-time information. http://www.lancashirebus.co.uk/news.jsp?newsID=1003 A few people have snapped photos of the buses out on the first day: http://www.flickr.com/photos/6228_leeds/10615487835/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/35759580@N03/10613878364/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/gcbp/10595952063/ Transdev are also set to launch another mobile app, which will use Barclays Pingit in order to pay for tickets with your mobile phone. http://www.lancashirebus.co.uk/news.jsp?newsID=1001 |

RE: Transdev Yorkshire & Lancashire
I've heard 5 are due to go to York for the 844, which has had its pvr reduced to five now that it no longer serves the university Monday- Saturday. This would make sense as the two Coastliner branded eclipses are due to leave York soon, and the renowns are worlds apart from the other buses in the Coastliner fleet. Currently on loan to York are two X plate spot on renowns, a spot on branded MPD and a white plaxton coach with the new transdev logo on the side. |

Apparently some Volvo B7TLs are to upgrade route 152 (Burnley-Preston). So I wonder what will happen to the current Volvo B10BLEs? |

Some of the Witch Ways gain multi-coloured LED displays a couple of years ago as part of a trial, which saw some B10BLEs gain them and the Mainline B7s have them from new. Could it just be that these buses have had their X43 displays reprogrammed into white? |
