VLW21-48/51 are all withdrawn from Wood Green off the 141/144/221. VLW25/7/9-33 have resurfaced with Arriva Southern Counties but that leaves 21 (plus VLW28) unaccounted for. Something, something, something Dart Side... |

VLW28 is at st helens getting converted then is being based at st helens for schools so im assuming theres to be another one for st helens as we are suppose to be getting 2. |

The B5TL is a brand new diesel decker using the euro 6 engine, so it wouldn't be purchased as part of the Green Bus Fund. That being said, it is unlikely Arriva would go for B5TLs on current form. For Southport, I would expect VDL DB300s with high-backed (possibly leather) seating. As for the B7s, one good use if they don't go back to Speke would be on the 47/48. There aren't enough to fully convert this route to double deck operation, but it would be a start.

They could even convert them 47/48 to Sapphire with them, plus some spares from Speke if the 86 gets new deckers next year too....theres an idea! |
