It all depends on what gets snatched up first at the depot. S nnn TRJs were on the 540 lots very early this morning because the B7RLEs were all on school services, saw them wen I was driving through Platt Bridge. Jack

Nope, we don't. There's always a feeling of disappointment when the 540 rolls up and it's not a B7RLE. I frequently. Get the 540, a S reg MAN is too noisy and rickety to stay on all the way to Bolton. Jack

Oh dear, man...I was board few month ago when I visit to Bury and come back home next morning to catch bus avoid the train(always delayed)lol...I like ALX300 is 22105, 22145, Aberdeen and some gear is not clear at all. The ALX I like is best is 22405 cos smooth engine at all. Martyn |

My favourite bus will always be a Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini I.e MX07BVG, one that stagecoach shipped off up to Fife. Far superior to the Enviro400, looks better, comfier ride and even sounds better. I'll always miss that bus running the 32 :'( Jack

I must say I'm generally happy with either a B7 or a ALX300 MAN on 540s these days and depending which MAN you get there are some quite quick ones at Wigan Depot and I know certainly 22103 S103TRJ despite its age has a good turn of speed and is quite a reliable bus, I had it on 600 the other week and was surprised how smooth it was |
