Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Regarding the Solo transfers, I too have seen 47823 on Stockport routes. I thought route X5 may have been transferred to Stockport but then this morning I saw a blue MCV on it, but then this afternoon Enviro200 36483 (I think) on it. Is route X5 now shared between Middleton and Stockport?

Details of the changes to services 512/513 now on the TfGM website.

The services will be disrupted from next Monday (15 July) until approximately December due to the closure of Ringley Bridge. The two services will be split into two sections and terminating either side of Ringley Bridge on Hulme Road and Fold Road. Passengers will have to walk from one street to the other via a footbridge to connect with the buses.

Can't see this being to popular with the passengers, especially if its raining. But if bridge repairs are needed, then so be it.

Yes but it is 8 Miles to go the long way round each way. So this best way to do this.

Similar to when the railway bridge was closed at Atherton, where First diverted the 582 via Little Hulton and Tyldesley and adding 25 mins to the journey time between Bolton and Leigh, while SLT split the 581/592 into two routes and made passengers walk a few yards between the two buses like the 512/513 will do.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Stagecoach Manchester will be currently gearing up for what will appear to be another busy weekend bus wise as due to engineering works the following Metrolink lines have replacement buses on them:

Altrincham-Piccadilly calling at all stops
Eccles-Piccadilly via Trafford Bar but not calling at Pamona
East Didsbury-Victoria via Piccadilly calling at all stops except Shudehill and Market Street

I'd expect to see some odd workings on other routes as most of the Enviro 400 fleet will be out on replacements

Looks like it's time for the reserve buses to get their tracksuits off and start warming up Smile

17239 was on the X57 in Cheadle Hulme yesterday closely followed by 33098 on the 313.

I saw 36780 (from Wigan depot) going down Hyde Road towards the M60 at about 7pm this evening. Seems like it may have been at Hyde Road depot for some reason and was heading back to Wigan. Seemed a long way from home Smile

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Already noticed a few odd workings this morning from AZ - are they even involved in this 'extra work'?
The first 231 from Ashton this morning was operated by a MAN as were the first two 236's and I also spotted a MAN on the 330 as I passed through the bus station.

Quite odd as normally MANs are restricted to 217/218's on a Saturday.
