Travel is glamorous only in retrospect. |

What is going to be the current state of affairs with regards the Windermere and Barrow in Furness branch services , considering the service is at present operated by Transpennine when the class 350's take over the main Manchester - Scotland service. Will the through services be lost to a stub service terminating at Oxenholme and Lancaster respectively . |

I think a 3-car shuttle is most likely. Long term, with TPE/Northern probably being merged, I suspect a Class 153, maybe 156 in summer, will be used. Even longer term, in the distant future, probably electrification. Travel is glamorous only in retrospect. |

Got told by a freind that several 185s may be turned into 2 car and 4 car by reshuffling the current vechiles. |
