RE: 2012/13 Football Season
I can understand why Suarez is going and that is the fact that the FA and media have had it in for him. Look at the Evra case; there was no proof or evidence of what he was supposed to have said. When John Terry admitted in court and under oath(!) the FA only banned him for 4 matches. Suarez got an 8 (later increased to 9) match ban! According to the Daily Mail today, Suarez 'took a chunk out of the arm of Ivanovic'. Now how did he do that when he didn't even break the skin and there was no blood??? No wonder he's leaving when the media damns him and finds him Guilty of everything and the FA use him as a whipping boy! Just a thought. Liverpool got £50m for Torres. Suarez is 100 times better than Torres ever was so I'd say that £50m should be the absolute minimum we ask for him. Mal Madder and white; probably the best livery in the world! |

However, nobody forced Suarez racialy abuse another player, to then refuse the handshake or to bite an opponent. He is a brilliant footballer but a flawed personality - get rid! |

There's no actual evidence in the Evra case, and if he believed he was in the right then you can see why he avoided the handshake. No defending the bite though, seeing as he'd already done it at Ajax. Also his handball off the line in the World Cup to stop Ghana going through, he's a very silly man to put it nicely! Fantastic footballer but if he goes he'll be replaced, that's the bottom line as Liverpool have done it time and time before. |

Chances are he is going and liverpool Football Club huffing and puffing will not change his mind , the best solution is to find him a way out agreeable by both and move on now , we cant be talking about Suarez all summer long. |

Fair points, I wonder who they will line-up as his replacement as they should also get a few quid at least for Carroll as well? |

RE: 2012/13 Football Season
Heard some good jokes this morning. 1. Roberto Martinez (new Everton manager) has said he intends to take Everton into the Champions League!! 2. Bill Kenwright said that he will let Martinez have money (no sum mentioned) for transfers in!!!! and 3. All money from transfers out will go toward buying new players. (Now that is a joke!). Does anyone remember when Arteta was sold to Arsenal some years ago for £15m? Every penny went to help them pay off their debt and nothing for new players.. Why should Evertonians believe Uncle Bill now? With Fellani, Baines and Heitinga possibly on the way out, where are the replacements??? Mal Madder and white; probably the best livery in the world! |

As we have now gone one month beyond the end of the season , its now time to move Football into a new thread to represent the Football Year coming up. |

RE: 2013/14 Football Season
Hearts have been banned from registering any new players by the Scottish Premier League. This could put them in a precarious state for the season starting in August . |
