Thats why the R ABA darts ended up scrapped instead of sold - on the whole they looked ok inside and out, just typical wear, however underneath and mechanicly they where past it! it was talked about for a long time they was for sale but clearly its fell threw For Blog Posts Containing all the latest in the local Bus Scene The 2002 Bus Blog Subscribe to my Youtube Channel, Updated regularly! RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
Some role reversal on the Heswall QBP today in that all 6 Stagecoach vehicles were double deck whereas Arriva seemed to be trying to run their portion (along with the 407) with cadets. Not very encouraging! |

Not very encouraging! This isnt being helped by management wanting to get enviro's refurbished for Wrexham service 1 before the Hybrid's had become available for service . In the interim there was always going to be winners and losers in the double deck stakes , be it single deckers on what are regular double jobs. |

Those Enviros which have been sent to St Helens for Saphhire treatment have indeed been replaced by DLA's, 4402 and 4410 were replaced by 4025 and 4076 respectively. Neither of which have seen traffic since their arrival at Birkenhead, in fact quite the opposite. 4076, despite having been re-MOT'd before departing St Helens after remedial works were successfully carried out, is instead being cannibalised at the rear of Birkenhead depot. It would appear Birkenhead's reluctance to use these DLA's which are transferring as temporary replacements until their full compliment of B5L's are in active service is indeed the major source of the problem rather than management rushing to release Enviros 4402-10 in order for the company to meet its target of an early April launch for the Sapphire route 1. |

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
In the fleet list, 2551 is shown as having a Cadet body. It is, in fact, a Commander |

2551 is not a commander, it is certainly a cadet. |

2551 is a Wright Cadet, it has a VDL SB120 chassis whereas Commander bodies are on SB200 chassis which are longer. Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.
