News about this Blackpool based operator to be posted here (thought I'd put this under current operators as opposed to preservation as they run normal bus services).

Particularly excited about the possibility of Swift 570 being in action on this day.

Good to see the 12 back. Hopefully we'll see Rloutemasters return to the route as per last year although probably a good call using fully enclosed vehicles given how cold it has been recently.

Olympian 325 has now received an all over advert for the Gazette looking considerably smarter than its previous green body with just a red front!

Unfortunately it doesn't look like Routemaster's will be used any time soon as CBNW have had problems with NowCard concesionary payments on conductor operated buses. No doubt a biased move by the council after it appeared to be winning the majority of passengers from the promenade section of the 1.

However, there are two open top Metrobuses and an open top Bristol VR which should be in use soon which will hopefully make up for the lack of Routemasters.

RE: Classic Bus North West
That is a shame that as it gave the Promenade an extra heritage service as well as the Trams. Still the open toppers will help - just hope we get the weather for them this year.

Hopefully a solution will be made in the near future, but I see it as a purposeful move from the Council who are trying to defend their own company as the tramway has conductors and functions fine.

As you say it is a shame the Routemasters are not used, and the service is noticeably quieter this year from what Ive seen as it was the historic vehicles which attracted people to use the service.

Also a quick reminder that this coming Saturday is the Heritage Running Day on the 22 when CBNW hire in vehicles from the LTT. Along with BTS running the Heritage Tram Service this weekend, sound like a good day for heritage enthusiasts.

Heritage buses catch passengers.

Have to say, was in Blackpool today, absolutely brilliant to catch some of these great heritage on the heritage service. Thanks and well done to all involved. Also had a look round CBNW's depot which included amongst other things an ex-London General Bendi. Could be useful on the 12 but the 22 could be a bit tricky!
