There are a few Darts at "Scrap Corner" in the ex-Liverline yard in Bootle. The one at the front of the second queue (the one furthest away from the wall) is R551 ABA (7551), which has an "NFS" sheet on the front windscreen.

There was one of the above ABA's on the 418/9 today, but can't for the life of me remember which.

RNW towed a Cadet through Heswall at 7pm, presumably off the 487. It looked like 2416. That's the second ex-Speke Cadet I've seen towed back to LS in the last few days.

Yes the Cadet was 2416, RNW placed it over the pits straight away.
New Ticket machines start tomorrow and as Luke said Andy 7558 is the bus for this, so will not get sent away just yet.
Goodbye to 7547, I last seen it yesterday by pits, must have been before it went over to Wrexham. The oldest bus in Laird Street (excluding 7558 as its a loan bus) is now DAF 4038.

Has 7554 also gone over to Bootle with 7551 & 7556?

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
Not sure if its an odd working but one or Laird Streets Cross River Enviro 400s made it out onto 18:07 411 Woodside-New Brighton yesterday, other working seemed to be one of their Cadets.

And regarding the Cadet being towed through Heswall yes this will have probably been the one I saw broken down at Neston terminus (Sainsburys) with the engine cover up, not to sure how long it had been there though, I saw it there about 16:00 when I was going through on Avons 22 service

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
We had a chat with one of the LS engineering fellas yesterday.

He said 7557 is NFS because the starter motor has failed, it will be fixed but shouldnt see service again, not at LS anyway.

He also said theyre all getting fed up of these Speke cadets, apparantly there has been more tow-ins involving these over the past few weeks than LS buses over the past month! He also said theyre riddled with faults and dodgy repair jobs.

I think that just about sums up Speke altogether.

Luke.

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
Shorly we have double the amount of cadets we got of Speke as we did darts

Is 2419 and 2431 here

The best 2 of the ex Speke batch I have been on so far are 2433 and 2479

The worst 2 Speke ones are 2422 and 2418

Ffs! It has been stated so many times before that 2419 is at Runcorn, even though its most likely VOR as I've not seen it in a long time!
Honestly if you could learn to read you will get so much further in life. It has been stated in this thread and other threads so many times that 2419 is at Runcorn!
