I wonder if it is due to 104 failing or something else? 508139 is out on the West Kirby line again today, must be 4 or 5 days on the run that it has ran West Kirby's, although it is on the diagram which will see it replaced at West Kirby and (hopefully) replaced by a 6 car at around 4:30pm. Then it will support the Ellesmere Port line service.

Still waiting for Merseyrail to specify reason for cancellation in TRUST.

2W03 0706 West Kirby: This train has been cancelled due to an unknown reason (TZ)
2W04 0721 West Kirby: This train started from Birkenhead North due to an unknown reason (TZ)

The unit for the 0706 (which should of earlier formed the 0551) didn't make it off Birkenhead North depot until around 0800!
The unit for the 0721 was actually pinched to form the 0621 as the origional unit was also stuck on the depot.

you come out with some random questions!

It sees semi-regular use already, usually during engineering work or unexpected disruption.

Questions and answers are what the forum is about First Class. There was an issue with the west kirby 6 car pm peak today. I think 507014 and 508115 developed a fault on the depot, so 507004 had to run 3 car, not sure if the fault was rectified by time 004 reached birkenhead north as it may have done a set swap on platform 3.

Unfortunately you are mistaken.

One siding, capable of holding a 9-car EMU consist was retained. It is known as the Wallside Siding. ML87 (Hall Road, Dn Southport platform) has a subsididary signal which can be cleared to proceed into the siding.

Before Hall Road TMD was axed, any trains entering the depot from the mainline would have to reverse in the siding.

ML1060 is a shunt signal which controls access from the siding towards Hall Road.
