Recently I was in Southport and I looked at the Bus Times at a bus stop on Lord Street Southport there was times for a so called 110 bus route ran by Lancashire County Council it ran like 2 buses on a Monday to Southport (don't know where from) it wasn't like an old timetable board either it was quiet recent from when Southport last had changes in January.

110 Southport-Leyland introduced in 1988 originally Monday to Friday then became Mondays only from 2006, originally operated by Merseybus, then ABC in the 90s, before having a whole host of operators from 2000 until it was withdrawn in 2016.

some timetables are out for the 1st of September most note able is the 91 which is changed after consultation it will reduce to 65 minutes and operate Woodchurch Road, Holmlands Estate, Prenton Hall Road, Woodchurch Road again then Holm Lane back to Birkenhead where it will now terminate at Conway Street. Saturday 91A is numbered 91 and follows new 91 route and avoids Claughton Village
Also after consultation 3 now avoids Camberley Drive, Arncliffe Drive and Torrington Drive.

Changes:
Route 1 Changes: Earlier journeys added, departing Moreton Cross at 06:34, 07:34 and 08:34. These journeys will not serve Leasowe. Funded by Merseytravel.

Route 1B Changes: Route starts earlier on Weekday Mornings, departing Moreton Cross at 07:07, 08:07 and 09:07. Funded by Merseytravel.

New Route: Birkenhead - Prenton (Holmlands Dive) - Conway Park or Woodside.

Service 91 Changes: Route now operated by A2B Travel. Route is changed in Prenton, with outbound journeys to Birkenhead now serving Prenton Dell and Prenton Lane. Frequency reduced to every 65 minutes. Terminus for Birkenhead journeys is now Conway Park. Rose Mount and Village Road in Oxton now receive a Saturday Service. Holm Lane in Prenton now receives a Weekday Service. Storeton Road is now only served in one direction for the northern half journeys towards Prenton whilst for the southern half, journeys towards Birkenhead only. Talbot Road no longer served.

Great! Moreton circular services, that carry round this air most of the day, night and weekend now has early morning journeys to carry round more this air! Wouldn't it be better if Merseytravel funded the rerouting of existing services to serve these areas or extend the 106/107 to operate from Saughall Massie to Liscard and New Brighton so the buses actually go somewhere not just wander round the back roads of Moreton and Leasowe?

Even madder, the first 3 no 1s are timed to take 20 minutes from Leasowe Station to Moreton, even though they go the direct route via Reeds Lane, Leasowe Road & Pasture Road, the Evening & Sunday service over this route only takes 8 minutes.


As for 811, i caught the 04.02 departure the other day [i caught it to Rock Ferry so i could catch the first X1 to Chester], a few passengers did board by the time it passed through Birkenhead, however, the timetable needs looking at, the roads are empty at 4am, the 811 i was on was running early at all the timetable points & ended up waiting a few minutes, think i'm going to miss the longer buses Selwyns allocated to the 811, Selwyns even had a decker allocated to the 811 on a couple of occasions, A2B will use Solos or the Enviro200.
