Thanks for providing this update. Has 777006 completed its fault-free running yet?
It seems no testing has taken place this week, since the switch of testing to daytime (from around 10am) as oppose to late evening.
Any further developments on driver training-I wasn't sure whether the recent spate of cancellations due to crew issues was a sign that driver training may have started?

777006 has now completed its fault free running, 777001 starts next week.
The fault free running has been cut from 1500 to 1000 miles so the units should be done a lot more quickly.
I believe other types of testing is being done at the current time.
Driver training has not started yet, the spate of cancellations has been due, like other transport operators, to COVID increases amongst crews

Was 777006 the first unit to complete its fault-free running, with the reduced mileage requirement of 1000 miles?

I believe it was only the first four sets that had to complete 1500 miles (777010/008/014/012) so yes 006 will be the first of the 1000 miles fault free running

The 777 transfers this week have been cancelled owing to a loco failure.
They may run this weekend, if not next week.

With lifts due to be installed at St Michaels station, I noticed today that the stepped ramps have been removed and the old staircases put back into use for surely the first time since the '80s. I used to use St Michaels every day for work, so seeing it without its ramps was almost surreal.

Are any of the units undergoing modifications?
I have heard reports that the units stored at Crewe have undergone modifications but I remember at the end of last year, you mentioned these were being done at Kirkdale depot-was that the case?
Are the modifications guard panels being fitted?

No, the units at Crewe are for storage only. Any modifications on those in the UK will be done by Stadler at Kirkdale.
