A member asked about Darts and Tridents earlier in the thread and much to my surprise they do appear to all be going into the pits one by one to be checked over with a view to use on schools. 34809 is even having a rear end repaint, though staying in beachball livery!


Scania N230UD/Enviro400s 15589-15592 are leaving Gillmoss this weekend to go to Stagecoach Yorkshire (Barnsley), part of a swap with some gold Scanias coming this way (presumably for Rock Ferry) then other internal swaps within MCSL which are as yet to be confirmed. Of these 15590 made its last trip in service on Tuesday night on the 217A, much to the delight of the driver as it was their only drive of this bus

Not sure if it is reported elsewhere but Gillmoss start operating the Edge Hill University bus EL1 from September too, a service previously operated by Diamond Bus

According to Steven Knight media, the 7 Gold's coming this way are 15534-15537 & 15609-15611

With the Scanias going to Barnsley and the Golds coming from there to possibly Rock Ferry what's going to replace the Scania Enviro400s at Gillmoss?

Thanks Buses7675 for confirming Gillmoss's operation of the EL1 - I did wonder when it came up in the N & P's the other week which depot would get it as I know Preston run the 315 (Ormskirk - Southport).

Darts 34808 & 34810 were brought back from storage in Wigan today to Gillmoss, so the Darts at Gillmoss are now as follows:

34793, 34808, 34809, 34810, 34811, 34812, 34819 & 34820

34743 is also here as a training bus

Not sure if all the above Darts will go out in service again or not but those 8 are currently present.

Saw a Plaxton pointer dart come in to the university grounds yesterday and a few drivers in the university shop. must have been route learning ready for September. Wonder what vehicle will be used on this as before lockdown Diamond bus used a Gemini double decker on it as the loadings were always high enough for a double decker. Thanks.

I believe a decker is going on the EL1 when service begins - I will get photos of it when I can to confirm!

In other news 15590 for some reason didn't get sent to Barnsley at the weekend and has since been put back into service at Gillmoss.

The one coming back from barnsley had a fault so didn't come back that's why 590 has stayed.

Presumably 15535 was the faulty one then?? 15610/1 are in Rock Ferry at the moment.

24168 is now back at Gillmoss from repaint at Rock Ferry.

Scania 15583 is here from Rock Ferry while Trident 18325 has moved to Rock Ferry.
