Merseyrail
RE: Merseyrail
Heard a train pass through Maghull station at around 22:50 last night wondering what it was as wouldn't have been a 507 or 508 as Merseyrail passenger services are still finishing at around 19:00 on the Ormskirk line so wondering if it was 777003 out on test or an engineering train? Thanks.

RE: Merseyrail
Might be worth looking out the window tonight around the same time to see what it is if you have a view of the tracks.

RE: Merseyrail
777001 and 002 need some modifications doing to them before they can be sent to the UK , these where the units that had been used on the Wildenrath Test Track

A common theme with stuff coming in new that the first 2 are usually kept back for analysis.

The Wildenrath Test circuit has played host to lots of british trains over the years , im led to believe this was in previous guise an air base at one time .
