Tickets being accepted 'via any reasonable route' which includes going via Chester and using Merseyrail to get across to Merseyside but the TOCs seem to have forgotten about the Chester-Liverpool via Runcorn service for passengers going to/from Runcorn and South Parkway. |

nationalrail website suggesting may be some diversions via Chester - I understood Virgin had ceased to maintain route knowledge but I am reliably informed Preston crews still have it. Trains losing best part of an hour on the up. |

Actually re-reading the nationalrail item it refers to Liverpool trains being diverted via Chester, so clearly garbage. |
