As long as they are not used in service trade plates could be used while on training duties etc. That not the case Trade plates are for People working in the motor trade that are in temporary possession of a vehicle (or vehicles), to drive and move them without having to tax and register them first. Driver training does not count as the drivers are not members of the motor trade |

I understand large operators do not re-register buses because of the costs involved and also like cars it is cheaper to register a batch under the old plate prior to the new plate coming in, and vehicles are pre-registered and to change them costs extra money. Most of the audience of bus passengers, I doubt understand the registration system in any-case or bother to check any registration plates, so it really doesn't matter to them. The second batch of vantages entered service in January 2017, meaning that is when 66 plates were still registered and a while before 17 was even released! I went on one of them on their first day out which was definitely in January! |

(It was reported on here or another forum as 19391, however i have seen that bus in service this week around stockport) |

Thanks for clearing that up, I remember 19391 being mentioned but thought nothing of it and just assumed another incident had happened. Anyone could spot it from walking past the depot entrance at the rear, bit strange to leave it so visible to the public. --- Thanks Ant Check out my YouTube Channel updated regularly at 18:00 Most Days; https://www.youtube.com/c/apdmediatransp...nel/videos Check out my content on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/envirohunter https://www.flickr.com/photos/envirohunter/albums Updated recently with a trip down to the South Coast in 2021 & Railway Pictures from 2017. |
