18326 and 18372 on 17 and X3 today. Both seen in town this morning, seen 1 on Dale Street on the 17 then immediately one on Hunter Street on the X3. Forgot which one was on what though. View my new Flickr Updated! |

RE: Stagecoach MCSL - Gillmoss Depot
Maybe too eartly to say but looking at the interior of that MMC400 the damage doesn't look that bad (I've seen worse damage due to fires) so is there a chance that this bus could be saved and fixed? |

RE: Stagecoach MCSL - Gillmoss Depot
I agree, it does look like it will probably be saved |

RE: Stagecoach MCSL - Gillmoss Depot
It's no worse than titan "firecracker" that was repaired at Gilmoss. |

Take it there's good CCTV on that bus and hopefully it can be repaired even if much of the upper deck seats/pannels have to be done. Might not be a bad idea for some police patrols on the 10A's until they catch the culprits. What happens when they are, Hmmm. Hope it's a one off and sadly these fires dont just happen in the region they're common place throughout the country in fact I think this is the first fire of this kind on a decker on Merseyside since Firecracker over a good 15-16 years ago IIRC. Still it's one too many and they shouldn't happen anywhere. Is E-Leather more flamable than moquette seaating? Looks like that rear seat has literally gone up and unless these idiots used an accelerant (possible?) looks like that went up quite quickly. Generally the deckers haven't had too much vandalism up to this point and the 10's definitely do need them so lets hope they catch and (hoping) punish those responsible. What bus was it? Hopefully it can be fixed up and be back on the road. |

Incidentally, one of First Glasgow's MMC's had a similar incident a couple of weeks back, damage was far more extensive, apparently youths playing with flares https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scott...d-21310452 https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/ |

I think one thing that went into 10550's favor was a Fire Station being really close by, Damage seems mostly cosmetic so will defo return For Blog Posts Containing all the latest in the local Bus Scene The 2002 Bus Blog Subscribe to my Youtube Channel, Updated regularly!
