RE: Merseyrail
Were any units trapped on the Liverpool Cent - Hunts Cross section. If this has happened, would there be a likely possibility that a loco + barrier coach could rescue them thus giving more available units to enable 6 car trains to be formed |

RE: Merseyrail
Firstly this happened before start of service so no units have been stranded on the line. The Southport to Liverpool Central service had been strengthened up. |

It has been announced on the northwest news tonight that merseyrail are to stage more industrial action over the role of guards. I am not sure of the exact dates that will be affected but up to now the announcement states the industrial action will begin around the end of August. |

507012 has failed at Bebington with a door fault, Not sure why they cancelled the service from there as the faulty door was locked out of use and notices put up informing people the door was not in use. Was the train that failed a service working a Chester service. If it was any delay of more than 4 minutes will result in a train turning short or limited stop running. I wonder if they will run the revised autumn timetable again which gives 7 trains on a weekday timetables and 4 trains evening and sunday. |

Obtaining traction interlock can be a big problem with a faulty set of doors regardless of whether they're locked out of use or not. If the driver has to isolate this then the unit has to come out. Yep the autumn timetable shall return! |

RE: Merseyrail
Hi all I was thinking it would be nice if a 507/508 or at least one carriage of a unit were to be painted in a heritage livery of the old BR blue and silver these units carried when new to mark the upcoming withdrawal of these units. This has been done with a carriage of the class 313 fleet which has recently been retired. Also wondering if a farewell tour will be organised for the 507/508s? Thanks. |
