Think it was already booked into the bay on a Saturday night .

507 020 has been parked up at Bitkenhead North for quite some time now.
Is anyone aware of its defect?

RE: Merseyrail
The 16:19 service from Ormskirk to Liverpool was unusually a 6 car yesterday in place of the usual 3 car. Presume this is due to extra units being available with the closure of the Kirkby line.

Your correct there , they using the units that would normally be used on the Kirkby line to strengthen where possible the services on the Ormskirk Line .

Probably something similar will happen with the Southport service when the Brunswick - Hunts Cross line gets work done it .

A third rail system and ice is never a good combination , something is always going to go bang , and it did .

But did you try using the road network that was equally as bad .

RE: Merseyrail
Merseyrail excelling themselves again today with half the normal number of 6 cars running on the Formby - Hunts Cross line despite fewer trains being required due to the platform work. Both the 08.21 Hunts Cross - Liverpool and 17.13 (currently 17.12) Liverpool Central - Hunts Cross services, the two busiest of the peaks on the Hunts Cross line, were short-formed and left many people behind. Last time the Formby - Southport section was closed, all trains were formed of 6 cars, all day.

A shoddy service that gets worse by the year, and we're paying more for the 'pleasure'!

RE: Merseyrail
For the past few days the Liverpool bound departure boards at Ormskirk line stations have been showing Hunts Cross instead of Liverpool Central but with the train departure screens still showing Liverpool Central and most trains are 6 cars. Are the Liverpool bound trains from Ormskirk continuing through to Hunts Cross in lieu of the closure between Sandhills and Formby? Thanks.
