One thing noted was a 2D parking up at bus stop at Croesfoel opposed to heading into Wrexham for its last trip and after a fairly good wait of time they started the service from this location on the short end of day 2D to Vauxhall Industrial Estate, the later trips make you think they intended this to the depot location before they got the Rhostyllen depot? Would have made sense to continued these end of day runs to Cefn Mawr where the return demand would perhaps want towards this and Ruabon.

Totally agree with them comments the time keeping is awful, i was out on Saturday not photographing or anything i noticed Arriva were simply out blowing them with loadings, i also seen a Tempo in the Bus Station later that evening displaying 2D "Vaux Ind Est" so i'd presume they'd have wanted the old Bryn Melyn depot as the GHA one is now used and on Wednesday when heading out for the 44s they were on time but in the opposite direction making them 30 minutes late so i presume there is an error in there somewhere..

How can they be half an hour late when they are on a half hourly frequency? I think you may have got confused somewhere. It would be around 15 minutes late if it was in the right place but on the opposite side of the road.

The biggest thing I notice about the timetables is that there is a timing point every few minutes. This is a big factor which contributes to lots of delays A few less timing points would help maybe. It would be interesting to see why they are so late though as it can't just be time timetable. It is interesting they made a big thing of running 5 minutes ahead of Arriva in the papers etc but are actually running 5-10 minutes behind.

No different to the timing points for every single stop if you drill down the online Arriva timetables so not the case, optimistic end to end journey time I think you will find the issue is.

Arriva has 8 timing points with most being around 10 minutes apart. Easybus has 12 timing points with most being around 6-7 minutes apart. With some timing points being 0-2 minutes apart. That is one big issue.

Normally, you can shave 5-10 minutes of every Arriva timetable so they have either taken it for granted that is what they can do or they have done a trial run but not taken into account different people drive differently.

One of the best thing I have just noticed on closer inspection. They have cut so much time off the routes that they are running 2 minutes behind the 2C from Ruabon. Their 2Ds are timed 5 minutes behind the 2 as well from Ruabon.

So, their lack of passengers is due to a lack of timetable skills and their punctuality is due to them not having enough time. What they need is some routes with odd timings to enable interworking. Instead they have gone for hour or half hour round trips so every bus is straight in, straight out which will not help reliability. It's a shame they aren't doing well. I'm all for supporting independants but it would seem the majority have no knowledge of scheduling at all.

So what you're telling me because its every half an hour it cant be 30 minutes late? if the bus was due at 16:58 at Snowdon Drive towards Barkers Lane but does not pass until 17:28 then that my friend is 30 minutes late. the Service all day was running 30 minutes late either EasyCoach can time travel or i need a new watch. it was due 17:10 towards Wrexham so either way it still running way over 30 late.

Is it just me ? Was it not that the 1728 was bang on time and the 1658 was omitted ?

Was the driver asked if it that service was late or whether the previous one didn't turn up?

I've seen the Arriva app reporting services 60 minute late on routes where there should be a bus every 30 minutes.

That makes the bus 12 minutes late then. The bus is every half hour. It has a running time of 28 minutes. Unless there were 2 buses on the route (which they wouldn't do as none of their buses interwork except for placement reasons possibly). It can't be 30 minutes late. They would miss a trip and run the next one on time. Plus I am 99% sure, it didn't accumulate a 30 minute delay while driving on that trip. There is no reason why the 44 should be late anyway, there is enough time on it. It has been on the same timetable for the past 3 operators, if it was that bad, the council would have forced a timetable change to put more time in.

That is all due to trip numbers. Plus, it depends on the number of buses on the route. The 44 (which LJ51 DDA is referring to) is a one bus route which runs round all day. 28 mins round trip, 30 min frequency. If a bus got delays of anything near 25 minutes, you would drop the trip and carry on on time. Even if it became 30 minutes late, you couldn't say it was 30 minutes late as it would literally be running on the next bus time. Even asking a driver, they would say they dropped a trip and are running on time or a few minutes late.

If thats the case then they dropped the 16:58 so that's worse
