Network Rail admits contractor will fail to deliver Bolton electrification by May.

Apparently Northern requested those paths on 20th December, some initially got rejected which is why some of the timetables on OTT are incomplete. The announcement seemed to be well timed in relation to the reshuffled cabinet. If it was announced last Friday then May would have been under pressure to get Grayling off the transport brief. |

And the contractor is Carillion who were liquidated today. Reportedly engineer's shifts are suspended this week but Network Rail are looking at a solution to get work to recommence next week. |
