Yes 129 is a Scott's route and 56/57 have been operating for about 6 months so guess TFGM have pulled funding.

It's the 56A/57A that's being withdrawn. The 156 will change to run between Middleton and Manchester only with Stagecoach running an evening/Sunday service 129 to replace the Middleton-Hollin section (Stotts continue the Monday-Saturday daytime route). Details mentioned in the GMCA Bus Committee meeting documents.

Stagecoach have tweeted today that they will be running extra buses on services 34/X34, 38 and Wilmslow Road services (presumably 42/43/142/143) in response to the First bus strike on Monday.
