I suspect that the Merseyrail strike may have something to do with the enhanced P+R arrangements.

It is a massive operation. Will be funny to see how it all works at Birkdale with all these + Arriva running additional 20 min service from Lord Street + Stagecoach X2 running 1 additional trip. Should all be a good week for bus spotters.

Stagecoach are basing buses overnight in Southport not sure of the location though.

None in the depot last night but heard there's a fuelling and cleaning arrangement. My guess is the Esplanade Park and Ride site or possibly Southport Rugby Cub.

Is there any space in Canning Road? There used to be some waste ground at the back of Canning Road where the MPTE stored dozens of surplus vehicles immediately after deregulation in 1986 but I think that land has now been built on.
