Then look like onto Newport Docks (from Crewe South Yard) on Tuesday morning.

Is Crewe South Yard visible does anyone know (not very familiar with Crewe station area)?

There are certain vantage points but it’s such a big yard it may not be visible

RE: Merseyrail
Any idea what work is taking place at Rock Ferry, Platform 4?
This platform doesn't seem to be getting used the past few weeks - for stabling etc?

Building a cab access “platform” for entry/exit the 777s, I’ve been told
There’ll be a few of these over the network where units are stabled

Is a cab access "platform" the same as the 'very narrow' platform extensions at some stations i.e. the extensions only for crew to use when open/closing doors?
I have seen these extensions appear at stations such as Town Green, some stations on the Southport line and either Bromborough or Bromborough Rake, over the past 12 months or so.

That is partly correct. It’s for the driver to access the cab without having to climb up/down to/from the track

RE: Merseyrail
I'm seeing a lot of amendments to platforms such as signage and layout etc for the 777s but is there an actual date for them to be entered to service yet? Also will it be one train at a time of the full batch?

It will be a gradual process based on number of units that have been accepted and the numbers of drivers that have been trained
