Could also be to trial out this for use over the autumn/winter, as oppose the usual autumn/winter timetable on the Chester line which requires an extra unit & more staffing.

These changes will carry on through autumn as well as the extra unit

When the extra unit was in operation some journeys actually still had to stand outside chester station for a Tfw service to use platform 7A first from north wales , at certain times of the day Chester can now be very congested.

Strange? Is this skipping stations really necessary if another unit is introduced during autumn/winter - in the past adding this unit solves the issue with semi-fast services by increasing the turnaround time at Chester?

There will be no extra unit added for reasons that will soon become clear.

There WILL be an extra unit added, making seven on the Chester service during the autumn period

I think it’s to keep a consistency with the stopping pattern for the customers.
Rather than having some stops taken out from next week, then calling everywhere during autumn, then missing stops again after the autumn period, it was decided to miss the stops out throughout.
