The only photos I've seen of it are of it stored outside the East Lancs/Optare factory in Blackburn, however DVLA shows it as having been taxed since May 2012. Yes it is now in service, it was on the C3 on Thursday. I have been looking out for this one for a while - I work right by the C4/C5 route and fairly close to the C1/C3 - and that was the first time I've seen it, so I suspect its entry into service was quite recent. |

RE: Cumfybus
Does anyone know exactly which Solo smashed into the back of ArrNW 3018 (MX59 FFW) a few months back? Presumably it's one of the ones currently on SORN?? |

Thanks for that Dave, all 13 are present and correct then! The only irony is I believe only 11 were ordered for C1-C5, the other two were meant to be for route EL1 (Edge Hill University Shuttle) but they lost the contract for that before the buses were delivered. buses7675 http://dartslf.com/ Light up, light up as if you have a choice,

It's the only T-OUB on SORN, so it does make sense. Justice is finally here. Rest In Peace the 96, You'll Never Walk Alone.

But if its liability date is November, that suggests that it's been off the road since last November (I'm fairly sure all SORNs are 12 months), so probably not that one after all. More likely candidates on that basis could be X177 NWR, S248 KNL, or YS02 UCB. It could even be one of the ones that are still licensed, with an expiry date between now and March. It definitely isn't H7 or 14 CFY because those are facing the gates and have no apparent front end crash damage. |

RE: Cumfybus
Good point actually, any of them three would make logical sense. I guess the only possible way to find out would be to go down the depot and see which is damaged, so I guess we'll never know! Justice is finally here. Rest In Peace the 96, You'll Never Walk Alone.

Thanks for that, lads! Pretty certain it wasn't (YS02 UCB) that was the smashed-up Solo, as I noted that shortly after the crash. CUMFY seem to be SORNing their S-reg Solos, so I'd hazard a guess that it's (X177 NWR) that hit the Arriva Pulsar. Mind you, it's only a guess...hmmm... |
