Several ex Bolton Hybrids were noted in service at Speke yesterday along with most of the Kentish examples. The 80/80A is the best route to see them, one or two on the 75 also.

It is a right pickle if there using single deckers on the 437 , the route should be double if at all possible as im sure the interworked services to Wallasey will struggle with single deckers.

2803 is parked at the back of the depot today. With Hybrids leaving for Speke and the route changes not until next week there are not many buses spare in the depot. There are around 14 pool buses around though.

Thats why am surprised 2803 is here as the Pool Buses would of been a better choice with them being deckers so more suited to routes like the cross rivers

Oh well it seems like the good old days where Speke get everything they want and the other depots get the bits and pieces left behind .

I totally disagree with you. Those seven hybrids have been released by a PVR reduction. Seeing as Speke already has an allocation of hybrids it makes perfect sense for them to transfer there to release diesel powered double deckers to another depot. Speke gets more new/newer buses than other North West depots because it is the most profitable depot

Speke is the most profitable so gets the most investment as it operates 4 of the most busiest corridors being 79/79D , 81/81A , 82 and 86/86A as you could most probably add the 80/80A to that too.

A PVR reduction not actioned until next week, though.

Surely the point the OP was trying to get at was could the transfer not have waited until then to save leaving Birkenhead short and to save passengers having to travel on vehicles of a size less than desirable?
