RE: Freightliner
There are about 4 paths for the Mossend to Seaforth service that never get used, they’ve been in for at least 15 months |

Maybe but these were originally special editions to the Working Timetable so is weird for them to go in but not run. --- Thanks Ant Check out my YouTube Channel updated regularly at 18:00 Most Days; https://www.youtube.com/c/apdmediatransp...nel/videos Check out my content on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/envirohunter https://www.flickr.com/photos/envirohunter/albums Updated recently with a trip down to the South Coast in 2021 & Railway Pictures from 2017. |

Quote from palmersears Quote:For anybody thinking of braving the cold to see these at any point, they won't run this week. It's purely a planning exercise to see how the various paths look/whether the timings would work for all concerned if/when the service does start up. Watch this space... |

Ah yes I don't post to there only look at it from time to time. This makes sense then, I assume their are plans to use them Network Rail permitting of course. I wonder if it has anything to do with the influx of containers being shipped into Liverpool but I can only assume the Paths via Altrincham would be empty flats as don't think containers would fit in with parts of the gauging on the line. |

I would presume the service will have something to do with the influx of containers. Via Altrincham I think must be ok with some containers as the binliner containers go that way. Isn't the loading gauge W8? |
