RE: Merseyrail
Has 507017 had any work done to it recently? it was working the 06:30 service from maghull to liverpool this morning and the leading bogie on one of the driving cars appears to have been painted and the wheels looked new as well.

RE: Merseyrail
I havnt seen 507017 for quite a while now, so maybe it was in for a C4 overhaul. In saying that, there is a few units that I havnt seen for a while such as 507021 which I believe to be on an overhaul too.

RE: Merseyrail
508131 has had new front air con and coupling control boxes on the drivers side on both ends fitted recently and 508138 has been the lattest participant for having its middle coach M's filled up.

RE: Merseyrail
Was on first train to ormskirk this morning the train was formed of 508130 & 508134 as we were about to leave aughton park all the power went off the trains emergency lights came on power was restored after about 1 min could this be due to a problem with the main supply to the live rail or a fault wit the train?

RE: Merseyrail
508130 and 508134 are both in my opinion dodgy units. Although they maybe had to cut the traction power for something.

So it could have been a trip on the units or power supply issues.

507021 and 507030 are both in for C3/C4 overhauls at the moment

RE: Merseyrail
I wonder if 507021 will have a physical 'Red Rum' nameplate fitted while in for overhaul? It seems to have been missing for a while.

Other units due for overhaul soon (if they haven't already) will be the likes of 507014, 507020, 507028, 507031, 507033 and 508124. These IIRC were all overhauled and repainted back in 2002/03.
