I am shocked that the N1 is returning in September. Of all the routes Stagecoach operate on Merseyside, this is not the one that I think is most lucrative. Was it that successful over the Christmas period? Surely the 82 and 86 (at least to Garston) would stand a better chance of success.

Since the demise of the night bus services in Liverpool, I have not socialised in the city centre in the wee small hours but, from anecdotal evidence, hailing a taxi after 1am has become problematic, particularly if you want to travel to the Wirral.

In my opinion, if Stagecoach considers that night buses on the Wirral have potential I would suggest that it tries them on the 471/2 and possibly Arriva routes 432 and 437.
