According to Arif Ansari, the only change in the north west was at Stockport, where the Council is still hung but Labour have overtaken the LibDems to be the largest party. This is the first time since 1985 where the opposition has lost Council seats on what was not a General Election year. At least Corbyn refrained from repeating Blair's line that these results could be a perfectly good springboard for victory at the next General Election! |
